Infrastructure stability challenges
In bare-metal deployment scenarios, Kubernetes needs to be deeply integrated with the operating system (OS). Different vendors have different computing, storage, and network virtualization capabilities for Kubernetes, as well as different compatibility capabilities for servers, posing challenges to infrastructure stability
Containers run directly on bare metal. Due to the shared kernel nature of runC runtime, when the kernel/Runtime is vulnerable, malicious code can escape and attack other applications and services, which challenges the security and stability of cluster operation.
Kubernetes is not enough
Native Kubernetes provides CNI and CSI, but there is no complete software SDN capability and storage capacity matching business requirements. These two parts are also important issues to be considered in cloud native applications.
